My wife said "DON'T EVEN F@CKING THINK ABOUT IT!" I then quickly replied, "Babe, I was mearly showing you what some guys try to get away with, not what I would like to do. That would be way to much." She then said "Yeah right!" Oh well.

Maybe you should have her talk to Bleep's wife 😉

<< I want to thank you very much for the pix. I showed these to my wife and her comment was "you need to build some more computers" Bleep >>

It sounds like you've got a keeper! 🙂

I showed Mrs. Farmer IndyJaws, and her response was, "But think of the home theatre system you could have instead!"

I love that woman. 😀

Hey Networkman, u wouldn't happen to know who makes This Case? the one in the lower left hand corner. I bought the same case from a friend on here, but we have no Idea who makes it, or where I could get one? My Girl likes it, and wants to switch the sticker covered one I gave her, for that one.
Any clues?? Anyone?
I've searched around, and never saw another one. I really like that case, a lot, and wouldn't mind having another one.

hey dnetmhz if you dont mind me asking around how much did all of that cost? systems, network stuff, UPS's, rack, and anything else?

and also i have to ask, why have all of those UPS's? i personally think they're usless and to expensive to justify just for crunching, i understand having one or two for primary systems so you can save stuff in the event of power failure but why with those?

mattyrug: YGPM! 🙂

MoFunk: All of the boards in the picture have found new homes - it was taken quite a while ago.. and no they didn't fall off of a shelf - my basement is just like that if you look at the other pics. 😉

<< and also i have to ask, why have all of those UPS's? >>

7 PCs require that much UPS power.. I like to make sure my investments don't get fried by power spikes and also that they stay up all the time. Perhaps they are a little expensive but the equipment they protect is much more expensive. 😉

I'm not sure but it's all well worth it for a hobby I enjoy 🙂

U HAVE to have a UPS, no matter what! 😉
Nice UPS's 😀 😀 😀
I got a Smart UPS XL-2400 (Older Model) W/2 Batteries for FREE!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
It was destined for a life in the Dumpster, then I came along and rescued the poor little guy! 😀
Smart UPS 2400XLA + A Furman PM-Pro 20 Amp Line conditioner = Constant Clean Voltage, and Battery Back-up Power😀 😀 😀 😛

I've got 2 more case mods to do. One is going to my sister, Crickett, the other is for my wife. When I get them done, I'll put up some pics of my own.

Alllriiight!! Mountain Dew and Dilbert! I like this guy🙂

Supercharged V-10?! :Q:Q:Q That truck has got to fly!! 😀 I didn't even know you could supercharge that V-10 and fit everything in the engine bay. 😉

It is actually a Dual supercharger system. The single NOVI would not put out enough air to keep the boost where I wanted it with out over spinning it ( 8-9 PSI ) so another NOVI was added. In hindsite I should have gone with a Roots type, but oh well 🙂

The engine bay is cavernous. I mean, there is room for another V-8 in there too 🙂 My windshield washer resovior holds 2 gallons for goodness sakes 🙂 Power is good 🙂 Only bad thing, is that I have blown 3 rear ends out on the truck ( Dana 70's ) I shattered the ring gear once, blew out the center retaining pin ( for side gears ) once, and broke the ABS sensor off the ring gear the last time, which then lodged itself between the pinion and ring gear, causing me to leave 200' black marks on the Elgin-Ohare Expressway 🙂

5 MPG sucks tho 🙂

Here's some pics of my setup. pc1 and pc2 are "after" and pc3 is before. There are some things that are not visible in my PC room. The rack in pc2 from top to bottom 3com LanModem (still waiting for broadband), CAT5 patch panel, SMC 24 port hub, another LanModem, another patch panel, another hub, and on the bottom is a CyberPower UPS. The PC's in pc1 (From against the far wall) Belkin 4 port KVM to the NEC 15" flat screen mounted on the wall, PC1 is a P4 1.5 w/512 RDRAM, PC2 is a P4 1.7 w/1000 RDRAM, PC3 is a Compaq Deskpro PIII600 w/512 PC100. To the left of the keyboard are to APC SmartUps500's. Off screen and on the floor are my old PC's the are in the pc3 pic. The entire room is 14 foot deep by only 7 foot wide. I have room and power for more pc's on the floor under the LCD. If pc2, the big black tube going through the ceiling links the other rooms and PC's through the house. I have a CAT5 jack in every room (not the bathroom though....😱 )
