Crazee,

Do you know what DSLAMs your provider uses ???
Maybe they have OC-12 ATM uplinks the the METRO/BRAS?

I am not sure, but I can find out since my provider is Southwestern Bell.

I'll check into it.

<< mboy, dang you and your OOL. :) I would have them currently if Adelphia hadn't bought out Cablevision in this area. :( But Adelphia has put us on their business backbone which currently isn't actually oversubscribed, and I'm getting 3000/128. :D >>

He,hehehe, There are some guys getting over 8mbps on OOL. I am even using an old SB2100D that I picked up on ebay for $50. At least I can D/L my completed WU's for SETI real fast :)

I am on TimeWarner also, but they got bought out by AT@T. So who knows what my "official" ISP name is anymore. :D

To MN from LA,CA ---> ** Speed 1524(down)/280(up) kbps **
To MN from NJ ---> ** Speed 1425(down)/287(up) kbps **
To MN from SJC,CA ---> ** Speed 1474(down)/282(up) kbps **

Not too bad I don't think. But you have to remember, it doesn't matter how fast you are. It's how fast they are. :D

That's too slow for Adelphia in Cleveland. I haven't checked lately, but a few weeks ago I was getting the full 3000/128. It sounds like your bandwidth problem is quite local. :confused:

Edit: Yep, just got 3124/128 to http://phl.speakeasy.net/! :D
