Looks like a SandForce 2281 controller from the Newegg reviews. Not bad for the price.
Don't trust Newegg reviews. It has a Toshiba/Marvel controller.According to a Newegg review, these are sandforce.

Great combos if you're building a new box and need both a SSD and HDD.
Dumb question if you don't mind... my motherboard came out right before SATA III, so, my question is: Would one of these SATA III SSDs work ok hooked up to a SATA II controller?
Yes I realize the performance would be worse but would it still be a nice speed upgrade from my old platter drive?
