"Help a little"??? <uncontrollable gut busting laugh>

I'm sure a partisan hack like you has it all figured out compared to all the political scientists who've shown the economy is basically the biggest issue in presidential elections. Personally, I think Obama's chances are pretty good at this point. You still are and always will be a hack though.

It's always the economy. This is going to help a little but if Obama wants to win in 2012 he needs the average retard to believe the economy is either good or on its way to good.

Sad, but true. The guy could be George Washington, Albert Einstein, and Jesus Christ all rolled up into one and never get reelected unless the economy picks up. Even producing a miracle and balancing the budget probably won't help.

woops... hit a nerve ?
Voters are not that engaged to weigh in the economy. It's all "presentation" !!!
But ok... don't believe me. Just watch Obama's numbers in the next few days.

I would also suspect that Obama's numbers would go up in the next few days. That's not the issue. The issue is you are acting like election 2012 is in the bag because of this. The election is a ways away.

Poll numbers mean they like the guy and maybe think he's doing something right. Not that they want him reelected. Americans love a winner, hate a loser, and always demand to see the money.

With Trump, Palin, Romney, etc.. as candidates. Tonight's events pretty much solidifies it.

Maybe I can translate this into partisan language for you: "it's the economy stupid." Remember that? Bill Clinton said that to himself and it's how he won the presidency. You're naive if you think Americans remember anything after a couple months.

I heard that his son was also killed in the raid. It's so nice that his family and friends could be with him when he passed.

And you would be incorrect.

Obama didn't need the Bin Laden kill to get re elected.
Like it or not, Obama will have a second term. Thats the way it works.
And the most telling sign? The republican 2012 candidates.
Any republican that might maybe possibly have even a hint of a realistic chance is waiting for 2016. It doesn't look good to be a loser too many times. Just ask Mitt Romney. If Mitt is half as smart as he claims to be, Mitt will wait. I hate to admit it, but i think even Sarah is smart enough to wait that out too. Only Donald is crazy enough to take a shot. And Donald already lost.
Face it. It is just not a good year for republicans. Kerry lived through that, as well as Dole. Its sad... Thats why I say give the money to cancer research.

Because in both cases people were satisfied with the state of the economy. Dole was trying to boot out the president under one of the best economies of the last 50 years and in 2004 the average moron thought their $350,000 mcmansion was really worth that.

I don't think confused. Just really don't care...

WTF that doesn't even make sense and I didn't address that post to you. I know you're butthurt because I'm calling you out on being a partisan hack (and I say that as someone who voted for Obama), but you don't need to troll all my posts. Thanks.

I for one am extremely satisfied that this was a live operation with boots on the ground. Drone strike or a 2000lb JDAM is so impersonal and would have taken away from this moment. It would have also led to years of debate on whether or not we actually got him.

I also 100% agree with Obama and the US government for not informing the Pakistani government that the operation took place until after he was in a body bag and our soldiers were free and clear. Obama informing the Pakistani government would have done nothing except put a dozen elite American soldiers into caskets.

I agree. I initially assumed it was a bomb attack and that identification was going to be messy but this is a great result. It might have been nice to catch him alive but he was never going to let that happen. And a big issue that will come out of this is the fact that he apparently has been under the noses of the Pakistanis for a while now. Shady to say the least.

I'm sure it was a 5.56 or a 9mm, either way, should have been a pretty easy ID based on intelligence and facial recognition.

As for Pakistan, I know they're going through the whole song and dance about it being a victory and that they were involved, but I would love to be a fly on the wall and see the Pakistani government's actual reactions when they found out.

I mean, this couldn't get much more embarassing for Pakistan. After years and years of denying he was in their country and making nothing more than token efforts to find him, we find him in a mansion in a city of a million people 30 miles north of Islamabad? He wasn't in Afghanistan, he wasn't in a cave in Warziristan, he was right under their noses in a multi-million dollar compound that was eight times larger than any other property in Abadabad.

I find it amusing that the US Military threw up the middle finger, crossed the Pakistani border and conducted a combat operation on Pakistani soil and now the ISI is claiming they knew the whole time and they played an integral part in the operation just to save face.

+1 I sort of wish that Obama had just left the parts about the Pakistanis out of this in his speech but I'm guessing he is trying to keep things stable in Pakistan since apparently a lot of their population wouldn't even take millions of dollars to turn in a mass murderer.

Osama is still in the Hilton in Washington D.C.

5-2-2011

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_bin_laden_burial

A U.S. official says Osama bin Laden has been buried at sea. After bin Laden was killed in a raid by U.S. forces in Pakistan, senior administration officials said the body would be handled according to Islamic practice and tradition. That practice calls for the body to be buried within 24 hours, the official said. Finding a country willing to accept the remains of the world's most wanted terrorist would have been difficult, the official said. So the U.S. decided to bury him at sea.
The official, who spoke Monday on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive national security matters, did not immediately say where that occurred.
