I am a graduating senior in the Metro Detroit area (Wayne State U). I start at UofM Ann Arbor in the fall and I am interested in getting some experience as well and try to save up for grad school. I have done projects in communications (RFID - hands on project, Sensor Networks - research projects) and I am currently focusing on applying MEMS in cross-disciplinary fields. If that fits anyone's requirements, please pm me for details.

Currently about to graduate (May 05) in Computer Engineering at the University of Louisiana Lafayette, and I will also have a minor in mathematics. Willing to relocate or move at the drop of a hat. I have some C++ experience, but I focused a little more on hardware at my university. I am looking for an entry-level job because of the fact that I have had no real "experience" in the engineering field. I currently work for HUB Enterprises as a video technician/ IT support. If interested please drop me an e-mail or a pm, and thanks for looking :)

Congrats on Graduation Matt.

You're not too far from Baton Rouge. From what I hear and see so far in this State (I live near New Orleans now) that Baton Rouge has the most I.T. jobs.

fixed screwed up link (cut & pasted)

Thanks for the link, I went ahead and applied. One thing I couldn't find was where this would be based out of. Does anyone happen to know?

this in california?

4 US slots; that is all the information that I was given - locations were not identified.

One does not need to take the slot if the location is not acceptable.

Hey hey! I usually post whatever here, but figured I would open this up to OT!

I've got a short contract job up for a good PHP scripter. We are running an e-commerce site, we need some coding on it for recurring payments and a few other things. We are running "plugnpay" if you have used that before, all the better. You need to be fast and good. it has to be done hopefully by Saturday morning. Send me your resume along with your rate/hr. It is probably somewhere around 6 - 8 hrs of coding. I'll get back to as many people as I can!

Cheers,
Waldo

The Art of System Administration
Assistant System Administrator Position Available Immediately

Do you know the difference between an Athlon 64 and an Opteron? How about performance characteristics between Raid 5 and Raid 10? How much of a speed increase can you expect from memory with 222 timings? What's the impact of ECC to memory performance?

We're looking for the kind of person that feels compelled to squeeze every ounce of computing power out of every machine. If the thought of working on high-performance servers with cutting edge technology, building super-secure, reliable, distributed systems makes you work up a sweat, we've got a job for you.

We want problem-solvers that know how to solve the toughest, most confusing hardware and software problems.

Helpful to know:
raid systems
optimizing and securing windows
overclocking
disk imaging technologies
installing linux and windows server applications

VERY IMPORTANT! Send a cover letter describing your thought process in how you would solve a problem where your machine was hanging intermittently. Please describe your thought process completely
