Well, he could have done what Moore did when confronted with absolute logic...just deny it and say Bush lied, regardless of what the facts really were. Oh, and keep going off on irrelevant tangents to keep from having to admit that you're wrong.

Those soldiers who lost their lives CHOSE to be in the armed forces. Their parents didn't sacrifice them...they knew that joining the armed forces wasn't the safest thing to do.

And they CHOSE to be in the armed forces under the assumption that their commander would not put them in harm's way unless it is absolutely necessary.

And they CHOSE to be in the armed forces because the monkey in oval office fvcked up the economy and didn't give them a choice.
Right. The economy was going downhill before Bush ever took office. The economy is now going UPHILL.
So all the people in the military right now joined in the last 3 years because Bush messed the economy up?
You sir, are an idiot. I nominate this thread for locking, due to an intelligence vacuum on Xiety's part.

Are any of you able to think rationally and to apply non-executive-office causation to the economic cycle? Jesus Christ, what a bunch of partisan fools.

Really? I didn't know that they signed anything that said exactly that.

I'm sure it didn't say "invade innocent nations so our president can enjoy profits from stolen oil" either.

ok man if you are one of these goobers that thinks we are secretly beaming Oil to your local texaco on the corner? Oil is a tired and simpleton answer for war. Keep searching...

Well no, they chose to be in the armed forces to defend their country. It had nothing to do with the economy. I am not fan of Bush at all but you are putting things waaaay out of perspective here.

Seeing Moore and O'Reilly talk is like seeing two kids duke it out in the playground. Though I must say that Moore gave O'Reilly quite the time :p

Hah...

That was interesting, thanks for posting that.

However, after watching the whole thing I come away feeling a little disappointed.

They both just kinda argued over symantix and avoided answering a lot of questions.. >.<

Whoa..whoa..innocent nation? Are you that brainwashed? WMDs or not, Iraq is far from being a pleasant, law abiding country. I don't care if they had anything to do with 9/11 or not, Iraq is better off without Saddam Hussein in power. If you can't see that, I feel sorry for you.

Since it's that simple Bush could've just said that when giving the argument for going to war.

Also, Xiety the war for oil argument doesn't hold up at all anymore.

Regardless, that fact really was Bush lied.

Means to an end. He could have said Saddaam was holding the easter bunny hostage, whatever it took to remove him from power. I would have preferred they fabricated some WMD to keep all this dissent to a minimum though.

Yes, please. More lies on top of lies. Fabricate WMDs to please the masses.

Let's just keep on making up lies and move right into Iran and the rest of the Middle East. We have no right to invade other countries that pose no threat to us. No wonder the rest of the world hates America.

We have every right we want.

I understand that the general population can't handle a lot of what goes in the world. Secrets must be kept from them. Lies must be told. The world isn't a friendly place, and the vast majority of people are just sheep and pawns.

i'd just like to also say xiety is a fool, I had to deal with his dillusions in another thread.

war for oil is old and burned up excuse

bush is "just" our president. he did the right thing by charging into iraq. Another 5-10 years and there will be a better nation in Iraq. If congress didn't want us going to Iraq as well, they would have stopped it. I have to hope that congress was able to make a competent decision.

If Kerry won so many awards for battle, maybe he should go to Iraq instead of trying to be President. I personally don't think he is competent for the job.

Alot of the population in Iraq is insane as F@Ck. It was innevitable that it would come to war and that nation would have to be put in check some how. I think the essence of humanity is the cause of war, not oil. If Sudan doesn't want to help out with the genecide in their nation, maybe we should reorganize that country as well.

I wish people weren't scared to admit that in this world it can and will take force to keep things right sometimes.

I think that what happened to Iraq will serve as a modern day example (post technology revolution) of what will happen with chaos consumes a country. The international community will stop it. end of story. I think its simply that since the US had the biggest guns, it had the boldest confidence to stand up for humanity and put a stop to the hell of what iraq was.

i also think that after bill oreilly confronted moore about saying bush was a lier, and moore continued to say bush was a lier even after orielly clearly defined what a lie was and wasn't, just shows how truthfully stupid michael moore is. The movie made a ton of cash and thats what it is about. moore is an asshat

Well good luck with that point of view. I never relalized that everything was so cut and dry and that we are just pawns that need to be lied too.

"We have every right we want."
Also, I would like to know what right we have to invade any country? Please explain that to me.

we aren't necessarily pawns, i think what he is saying is that for most people, ignorance is bliss. But if you can't handle the truth, recognize it rather than diving in to the real world, not being able to handle it, then barfing your bad experience on everyone else.
