I'm interested in the NCAA response. I'm wondering if they will ever admit to the wrong calls, and if so, whether or not they will actually take away the loss.

I'm all down for voiding the game and having them replay at the end of the year. The officials made bad calls throughout the game (not just near the end).
I don't understand why ESPN is saying Oklahoma recovered the ball on the onside kick. Whoever clearly has possession FIRST (Oregon) and is seen, will be awarded the ball. Just because a pile-up resulted and an Oklahoma player came up with the football does not mean they have it.
In any case, there would have been a re-kick if a procedure call was made...and Oregon could have easily gotten that.

You actually saw Oregon gain possession first? Please.

PAC-10 suspends crew for one game
So that pretty much shows that the officials were wrong, which is what I've been trying to say for a while. People just want to argue though.
I'm  :thumbsup:Originally posted by: BlancoNino

That will set a bad precedent IMO.

exactly what i was thinking...touching the ball first does not equal possessing the football.
and your comment about 'easily' getting an onside kick...lol

Yeah, before the pile-up an Oregon player got it from what I saw. The officials also quickly signaled Oregon ball (as they have a much clearer view than the cameras) because I'm sure they saw it in the hands of a Duck. As soon as they see that, it's Oregon's ball. A pile-up can happen and stuff goes on and then an Oklahoma guy comes up with the ball...but it doesn't mean anything.
