Oregon college shooting

This happens enough now that I just ask "how many" and "is shooter dead" then move on.

CNN doesn't have a single camera on the ground yet. I know it's in the middle of nowhere but not even an affiliate?

Roseburg is a geographical oddity; 3 hours from anywhere. The people on the scene will all be local affiliates for the major networks, not cable news, so it's not really surprising that CNN isn't there yet.

I know. This is just another typical day in the USA. Going to school and get shot.

There's nothing we can do about it. Just bury our heads in the sand and be glad it wasn't your kid who was killed.

It's the 'Murican way. Do nothing and wait until God raptures us out.

Edit-Can I get an Amen?

I expect this to bring the usual suspects out of the woodwork.

Rare? It happens every couple weeks.

Massacres where victims are randomly targeted are thankfully still quite rare.

Seems like most "school shootings" are both targeted and gang related, and usually involve at most one or two victims. Of course that's not acceptable either. But the chances of an average Joe being caught up in one are very low.

...and there is a lottery winner(s) every week. But you know what, as often as people play the lottery, it is pretty dam rare to win it.

I'd rather not play the lottery that results in my son getting shot and killed in his classroom.
