I thought it was fiction - but they Trump administration did indeed ban all new non-american routers - expect soon for Trump or Trump friend to introduce a new router with an fcc exception that is the crappiest china router you can find at 5x the price.
 
I saw that news and started shopping for a new modem/router, as this Fiios one is fairly old. I know it is solid state but still. May as well upgrade while they are around because I ain't buying some fucking gold painted Trump modem. I'd rather go back to carrier pigeons.
