Good luck with that. Hegseth just got spanked for trying to take action against Kelly by a Bush appointee. Sure that's not going to help their case.

From the ruling.

“That Senator Kelly may be an ‘unusually staunch individual’ does not minimize his entitlement to be free from reprisal for exercising his First Amendment rights,” Leon wrote. “Senator Kelly was reprimanded for exercising his First Amendment right to speak on matters of public concern.”

I'm sending more money to Mark, so he can have a nice celebration and cash for running for maybe president.
Mark Kelly is rising to the moment as his military background and service is serving his well - he presents very strongly and he is doing pretty well in the moment. But for president - he is just way too moderate and is ultimately more of the same type of policy dem that lives near the corporate Dem class - though he does seem to have more ethics than they do for sure. So much better than the Schumers and his inner circle of trash. But he will not provide the systemic change the American people need. He should be in the cabinet of the next president though in a high profile slot.

The dumbest and least engaged are one big class of 2024 swing voter. (And "knowledgeable" was considered knowing who was in charge of the House and Senate, so not exactly a high bar)

Trump, and by extension the Republican Party, promised these voters 2019 again and have literally done the opposite policy wise at every turn. There is no "make things cheaper" button on the Resolute Desk but there are a lot of "make things more expensive" buttons that Trump has been loudly pushing for the last year. Hence the -40 approve on prices by low info voters.

Not tough enough for you? Got more guts than any Dem out there at this point. Oh, he's not perfect syndrome.

He is tough, which is what I stated I admired about him, and I think he should have a place in a new administration to be tough on these fucking MAGAT traitors and fix things they messed with like the military structure, etc... - but domestic policy wise, he is a very moderate Dem when what this country needs is much more serious change to fix the oligarchy and wealth inequality we live in. He would never support Medicare for all for example.

This is an insane amount of money just to fly people out of the country. One of the big arguments for deporting immigrants is they might use social services but at a million+ per some deportation you could give them a life time of social services:

If there were ever a single statiatic that captured the inhumanity of it all, i think this would be it.

Literally spending more resources to remove someone than to make them secure for a lifetime

This is America, we'd rather torment people than give them a leg up.
It's a feature, not a bug.

So the dollar amount is actually not that unreasonable but the lawsuit itself is just plain silly. Some stupid idiot was walking on a non-sidewalk area and tripped on a construction plate and is suing for her bruise ego. This person of course works for the trump administration in a high profile position:
