As was pointed out elsewhere it appears Trump has stumbled onto the idea that when national security is involved the president’s powers are at their strongest so now he’s claiming literally everything is a national security issue.
Comes down again to the question of what our government is supposed to do when the chief executive has zero interest in acting in good faith.

At the very least greenman is totally lacking in empathy. Although that seems to be a requirement to be a modern conservative.
It is entirely rational when those beliefs are things like ‘it’s bad to attempt a coup’ and ‘it’s bad to commit sex crimes’.
Despite overwhelming evidence of guilt of both for Trump you support him. Doesn’t it seem rational to be angry at someone for supporting a serial sex criminal who tried to overthrow the government?
Edit: if you respond to this at all I imagine it will be by denying either happened. That’s also not rational though as we’ve already discussed the coup attempt and he was found to have digitally raped a woman by a jury. (Not to mention he confessed to serial sexual assault on tape)

The dude is basically a troll now it’s better to not engage because there isn’t a point to it. He’s not man enough to offer up opinions on any real topic or smart enough to back up any opinions he does have. His whole schtick as with a lot of republicans/righties/maga is to plop something provocative and watch everyone react.
There really is no point in engaging with people like them. If we want reasoning and differing opinions on any topic I’d say 99% of us could argue any side of a topic and present a better more coherent argument for it then any person on the right could muster up. I say let them have the world they created and let’s focus on making the world a better place. His time is quickly coming to an end anyway so why bother with the troll?

Don't forget that he also raped his first wife! which he first admitted to in a deposition, in response to her biography claiming this.
I mean I could go on for a long time. 34 felonies, dozens of other sexual assault claims against him, stealing top secret documents from the government and attempting to hide the theft, etc.
The guy is a sex offender, a massive, lifelong criminal, and the only president to ever attempt a coup.
@Greenman will probably just declare that none of that counts or none of it happened because otherwise he has to confront some very ugly truths about what he’s been voting for during the last 10 years or so.

I think the right has gone away from “fake news”, “it never happened”, to “you guys just hate Trump no matter what”. They really think our dislike of Trump comes from pure hate and has nothing to do with his numerous failings as a person, a businessman, or as president. His failings are then just a matter of the left hating him, circular reasoning at its finest. It’s why they won’t ever comment on his failings. Tariffs not working and hurting the economy? Just liberal hate. Doge costing the government billions and lying about their cuts/savings? More liberal hate. Convicted felon? Deep state liberal hate. Pay for play for the benefit of trump, personally and his family? But, but Biden. They are a complete waste of time.
This is literally the same thing that happened with Bush. People may have forgotten but the precursor to TDS was BDS where conservatives claimed liberals only hated Bush because of some emotional derangement.
Then when Bush proved himself terrible beyond any doubt they pretended all that never happened and that they never liked him to begin with. It’s all bad faith bullshit. After all while it was 20 years ago there are tons of current Trump voters who were enthusiastic Bush supporters only to now decide Bush was bad because Trump says so.
