Pentagon Boots NBC, NPR, NYT, and Politico from Offices – To Be Replaced by Breitbart and OANN.

Right out of Moscow's playbook. Putin will be impressed. Trumps state run media! Working to eliminate "unfriendly" media. Sense of paranoia, mistrust of workers and need to control what the public sees and hears. Fascism coming to America. I never dreamed I'd see this day!
US going the Soviet Union path...

The USAID website just disappeared. Chris Murphy’s warning about Trump unilaterally usurping authority from Congress was spot on. He is eliminating an agency with its own Congressional appropriations budget so that said budget can be subsumed by State.

Yup, Congress should be reminded that they handed this power to the executive, and they can take it away.

Yea but if you hear tubby speak congress should concede their 'power' to the president after all he was elected by the people even if it wasn't even a majority.

Anyway enough bad news can't we have at least a little good news ?

Trudeau to speak at 6pm eastern, likely to announce retaliatory measures.
So this is typical trump. He will create a crisis then claim that the issue was 'solved' by his actions so he can take credit for solving another crisis even if it didn't exist ignoring all the damage he does. Sort of like in california where he ordered release of the water. Doesn't matter if he drowns a million people and cause a famine next year when crops wither and die as long as he can announce that he solved LA fire by releasing the water.

While the Dems twiddle their thumbs, the cabinet appointments many voted to confirm, are giving over access over to Elon and DOGE. Fucking idiots. They should use procedural tools to have delayed these nominations and grind the Senate to a halt. But they are a useless party. Fifteen dems voted to confirm this treasury secretary, and they didn't slow down the nomination. The Dem senate is at this point functionally obsolete

Not sure what the fuck more we can do. Last year was what, 20kg seized? Meanwhile something like 9600 at the southern border. Hell Toronto just seated like 900kg of cocaine that came into Canada through the U.S. from Mexico.

Edit. I lied. 835kg.

He's going to look like a buffoon if (when?) he causes massive economic distress across North America. I think the most likely scenario is that business leaders will ultimately tell him to stand down or else risk a recession. Sure he'll try to declare victory but perhaps some voters will finally realize this emperor has no clothes.

Lol his compromise was only charging 10% on oil and hydro power.

I'd like to get some Trump Did This stickers and put them all over where things get more expensive due to Trump. Maybe some that say Trump's Tariffs did this as well.

I no longer consider the US an ally of Canada.
Would you help us in our upcoming civil war?
You're going to need the correct side winning it. Because MAGA will never allow coexistence with others. They'll be coming for Canada physically sooner or later.
The enemy is equal to Russia and China in this regard. Only strength of arms will stop them.

He doens't care if there is a recession as he will just blame Biden.

He will certainly try, but it may not stick.

All depends on how damaging his policies are, and whether dumb Americans ever get a clue.

For example, when Bush left office in 2009, his reputation was in shambles. It’s rehabbed a bit over the past decade, but he’ll never be considered a good president.

when the economy dips noticeably as a result of all Trump's insanity, I'd like to see a top Democrat say - we gave Trump a strongly improving economy, and he fucked it up. It's that simple.

They don't have the chutzpah though.

But it would fall on deaf ears. Majority under the belief they are worse off these last 4 years. It wont matter how much the orange monkey screws it up these next few weeks.

Come on man. No it wouldn't. Fuck the MAGA, we are trying to energize our own fucking people, plus those who didn't vote. Imagine thinking properly messaging in times of crisis is a waste of time as it would fall on deaf ears. The fucking base is literally begging for an opposition. And you are saying it's pointless. Jesus.

Your attitude is totally defeatist, that helps the feckless Dems continue their death spiral.
