Of course it is. And vice versa. Dont let partisan bs interfere with reality.

Disagree, the progression was that they needed even more resources, even more hardware and electricity and water and of course, money.
Their "progression" was big AI bigger better.
A better AI would be achieved with more processing and copyright thievery, not by better improved more efficient models.

So no comment... Just gonna let that "Trump said he didn't support Project 2025" comment flap in the wind...

I don't need to comment. I don't care about some think tanks ideas for 2025.
Trump is doing what he said he was going to do when he ran for office. That is what the people voted for.

Trump following a right wing think tank's playbook is actually the opposite of what Trump claimed he would do, but do go on.

The Heritage Foundation is also an extremely influential conservative think tank. They're ideas run rampant in Republican governance, such that the two are inseparable.

He was so in on project 2025 and publicly in favor of that the Michigan GOP felt the need to send me multiple pieces of mail per day (not an exaggeration) that Trump had nothing to do with project 2025, didn’t agree with it and in fact denounced it.

But please do go on that implementation of project 2025 is what he ran on.

The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.

I don't understand it.. if they used NVIDIA chips.. shouldn't that be GOOD for NVIDIA?

But apparently it's all bad for them but good for other AI companies who do the software stuff (Meta/ Tesla/ Open AI/ MSFT)?
If I am understanding it correctly, DeepSeek can get the same results with much fewer resources. This would mean fewer sales for NVIDIA...

Yes we know you don't care Trump constantly lies to people.

He said in 1st term he would build a wall Mexico would pay for. Did the check bounce? You must really be stupid to believe all his bullshit.

You know I'm not generally rooting for China in most things. But if they can totally undercut the absolutely horrific fascist evil tech broligarchy in this huge wayway, That would be so fun.
Similar deal with BEVs. While I don't want them flooding the U.S. market now if they are state-supported, ultimately consumers benefit from more competition.

We should give global automakers a fair amount of time to innovate past ICE, even as long as 7 years. If China's automakers aren't "dumping" products into Western markets, let them in so that the average price of a new auto in 2032 isn't $66k.

He actually said he would not do this and he repeatedly denounced project 2025. You will be shocked to learn when he said that he was lying.
"Every politician lies, Biden lied too"

pcgeek11 should probably care about what is clearly the blueprint for his presidency, but he won't, he's too busy carrying water for the guy he didn't vote for.

Its bad news cause of the current state of LLM's which is already seeing diminishing returns on bigger more expensive(hardware) models, the Chinese development just magnified that. So Nvidia has all this AI hardware to throw at this problem but noone really needs it cause we already hit the wall.
So now we wait for workaround or a breakthrough to take AI to the next level again.

No one starts from scratch in this game, if you think DeekSeek didnt take inspiration on information available to them on chatgpt llama etc. then I dont know what to tell you. Of course they did. Then identified areas of optimization, shortcuts, whatnot.

It also plays directly into Trump's hands. If the response to obvious, egregious serial lying is a shoulder shrug then politicians know there is no penalty for that and will act accordingly.

Just because there is some overlap between project 2025 and some of Trumps actions doesn't mean what you are claiming...

Just because there is some overlap between project 2025 and some of Trumps actions doesn't mean what you are claiming...
And by 'some overlap' you mean nearly 2/3rds of his executive orders?

As I stated...

Two thirds mirror or partially mirror proposals. They overlap...
I think two thirds of them mirroring or partially mirroring is SLIGHTLY more than 'some overlap'.

I think by far the most logical conclusion is he knew project 2025 was extremely unpopular so he lied about not supporting it. When in office it's clear he does, or at least substantially does.
