Obsession:
a state in which someone thinks about someone or something constantly or frequently especially in a way that is not normal
.
Disingenuous:
Lacking in frankness, candor, or sincerity; falsely or hypocritically ingenuous; insincere.

Example: PCGeek is particularly and regularly disingenuous in his posts on ATP&N, ignoring context and isolating on individual issues as if they exist in a vacuum, refusing to acknowledge the larger scope of the unprecedented corruption and unconstitutional activities of the Republican administration while pretending to care about the rule of law.

I mean that doesn't really count when you're talking about the present leader of a nation state. Particularly when what you're talking about is something they are presently doing.

Weird obsession would be someone continually going on about past leaders and blaming them for everything that's happening presently. Can you think of any one doing that right now?

Why because you are all in an uproar about a big nothing...

This is almost as noteworthy as the improvements made to the Rose Garden that were badly needed.
The White House badly needed a corporate campus patio with lawn furniture? Weird

What’s funny about all this is Trump straight up lied to you, you defended the lie, and when it’s far beyond obvious you were lied to you have moved on to ignoring the dishonesty and just accepting the outcome.

Somehow you are still in the cult.

It’s a good point and not healthy to obsess.

Besides I’ve got more important things to deal with like working 40+ hours a week and applying for 0% payday loans and maybe deferred mortgage / credit card payments

Truth be told, I've been wanting to see the White House get a real 21st century makeover for awhile now. I'm not saying our ability to host diplomatic events should be unrivaled, but it should be adequate. It's needed more room for a long time.

Having said that, dipshit has gone overboard as usual. His infantile love of cheap pageantry is still nauseating, and I resent that development for one of the most hallowed places in America will be funded with bribes. The main utility for Trump will be of course using it and any scandal to avoid talking about Epstein. Or people "close" to him who got murdered, took his limelight. Can't be doing that. But soon it will be built, and he'll need something else to occupy the media with. War with Venezuela, for instance.

He wants that Peace Prize, and he'll bomb any collection of non-white people to get it. :colbert:

No building permits, probably no permits at all. The White House is self-insured so no insurance company will be asking for inspections. So far, all that they have done is demolish the East Wing and the ballroom addition cost estimates have already gone from $200 millions to $300 millions. People are already wondering is this is just a money laundering operation.

He destroyed the White House of "We the People" to gratify his power hungry ego driven madness and the people that should have stopped him, didn't.

As usual, He’s rushing a building project that will take years, especially with the discovery of asbestos and unlicensed contractors who can’t handle it. The flashy gaudy design will take time, and with his dementia, congestive heart failure, and old age, I doubt he’ll ever see the inside of the ballroom just before the end of Stephen Miller's current term. Hopefully, the next president can tear it down or repurpose it. It would be a great space for homeless veterans.

They already addressed the asbestos, just ripped it right out. What could possibly go wrong? After all the myth that asbestos causes cancer s just a woke, communist, Marxist, liberal myth from people who hate America.

What makes me worry, despite they uses water to lessen the danger, there is still the issue on how to deal with the used water since now it contain the asbestos.

It's not just that. I am pretty sure, all of the other's where done with tax payer funding, not bribes... I mean donations.

For me it is just that. We have laws and rules, we don’t have kings. If Trump went through the proper channels and had it approved I wouldn’t have an issue with it. It wouldn’t be ok if any other president acted in such a way and it’s not ok when Trump does it.

Consistently evil.

Trump approves disaster declarations for red states, as blue states go without
“Trump seems to see Democratic-led states — and the people in them — less as constituents to which he has a set of larger obligations and more as enemies to be pacified and defeated,” The New York Times’ Jamelle Bouie recently argued. “For Trump, there is no whole people of the United States. There are only his people and his states.”

The syphilitic orange menace is a festering, cancerous pile of scum.
Never in all my years would I envision a president acting in this manner.

Not to worry, these are the bootlickers paying for the Trump ballroom.

Bootlickers sounds rather simplified.
It's how the "free market capitalism" works in a fascist state. You pay the President for his patronage. For the right to exist and to do business. Those who fund his every whim and build monuments to him are allowed to stay in business. Those who do not, will face the wrath of a dictator. Those not rich enough to play that game at the highest level, will simply serve those who do. It will be the only means of escaping his tariffs and other unilateral "policy" decisions.

There's no way that just a ballroom costs $300M. There's something else included (bunker "adjustments"), or the $$$ is going somewhere else using the construction as a cover.

Gee golly willikers, a president running scams on citizens and people globally has a different motive. Sounds like your TDS talking!!!

He did some of this in the first term, CA wildfires notably, then somebody told him the place that burnt down was like Trump +35 lol. Withholding disaster assistance will almost certainly harm his own voters much more than people who didn't vote for him...which I suppose is really the theme of this term.
