Optimize Windows XP for coreduo

I was wondering if there was any optimizations I could do in windows xp pro sp2 for my new e6400. I did a fresh install and have installed all of the updates, just seeing if there was anything else to squeeze the last bit of power out of this chip

Doubtful, it should just work like any other SMP configuration.

There are a couple hotfixes designed to fix some dual-core issues with XP, but that's about all I can remember. It was just stuff like synchronizing the timestamps between the processors, etc. If you want to get more power out of it, use SMP-aware apps or utilize multiple programs simultaneously. Even if tasks like displaying windows were to be processed by both CPUs I doubt you'd notice a difference. You'd have to actually be doing work, so it's doubtful you'd see any improvement from Windows and its fast internal functions being effectively multi-threaded.
