Optical Illusion

Can you see it (pretty naked lady) turning clockwise and counter-clockwise Took me about a minute and a half, but I did it.

All I see is counter-clockwise. How do you see it any other way?

Edit: I just saw it out of the corner of my eye... And now I can't see it spinning counter-clockwise no matter how hard I try. Weird.

I imagined the leg as a pendulum going back and forth on a 2-D plane. I was able to will it to change after that.

took a bit, could only see it going clockwise, but then after just concentrating on the shadow, she appeared to go counter-clockwise.

Hold on, I watched it pretty damn intently and I'm pretty sure the animation has her spinning in both directions.

I'm starting to get it now. A lot of the illusion depends on whether you perceive outstretched leg to be in front of or behind the other leg on a given rotation. While you're watching the leg rotate in front you can "decide" that it's actually behind and the illusion reverses.

This is what happened to me. She was spinning counter clockwise forever until I finally got her to go clockwise. Once she was spinning clockwise I couldn't get her to go back counter.

You're silly if you think it's a trick.

Look at the reflection of the foot, and "will" it to spin in either direction, then assume that direction on the woman. It's easy to switch back and forth.

I can look at her boobs and switch directions. Much more interesting.

Are you sure its not fake. I left it running in the back ground and checked it 5 mins later and it was spinning clockwise *the shadow way*.

It's not fake. You really do have to look at the shadow, and think about what the shadow would look like if the statue was going the other way. Keep on it, and then it will be spinning the other way. Then you'll try to concentrate it out of spinning the "wrong" way.

It's switching images.
I covered everything but her head and just watched her braid. She was going clockwise.
left right left right left right left right left right left right left right left right right left right left right left. Her hair never kept going around. It stopped and went back to the right and began circling the other way.
