If you're considering buying an Opteron and don't wanna waste your money buying off ebay or where ever else. I just bought one from Mwave.com for $179 + shipping.

I ordered a 146 on sunday, wont be here till next week. I went for the cheap shipping and it has to cross the country. It will be nice to see what they are shipping.

 
Haven't been in the CPU game for a while. Whats the difference between say an A64 and an Opteron? Why would one be better than the other?
 
ComputerHQ sucks.
I tried to get a OP from thier last week.
It showed in stock and 2 days after ordering I got a lett saying it was out of stock.
But guess what the website still had them in stock.
Too much crap for me. I order from Mwave on Tuesday paided $2.50 extra for shipping and it got in today. Just in time to build my computer and hide from relatives for christmas.

Yes it's S939. What results are you referring to? OC'ing max?
That depends on the stepping quite a bit for these chips.
 
Bought one from Mwave on Thursday 22, got it 24th , not bad from California to Mass. Didn't even have to pay for any special shipping. Way to go Mwave , very impressed. The package from Fedex said to deliver by Wednesday the 28th, they must have been running ahead of schedule.

I got my Opty 146 (CAB2E 0546FPAW) last week from MWave. Don't have the other components yet to build with but will post OCing results when applicable.

hello there, I just need some help on the overclocking. Let me know what settings to try. I have the Evga board, on stock air cooling. Give me some settings to try and I will , to see what I can over clock this chip to.
