I'm relatively new to OC'ing the A64 platform, but used this linked article to OC my current rig. Check out the CPU formum or possibly give this a read. Just remember, if you OC anything too far and your system won't post...reset the CMOS and try again. Just don't get too extreme all at once and you should be okay.

what on earth is that flickerdown place - have you dealt with them?

And since we all OC the chips it's not worth getting the box, right? (does the OEM come with the HSF?)

Also - man I wish the decision for dual or single core were easier - such a big price difference.

Yep, seemed like a great deal, so I emailed him with an order in the email configuration he likes (particular information in subject line, name address, phone #). My name did not go up in the queue.

I waited two days and then emailed him again, asking if my first email got to him. He mailed me back and said my name would be in queue that night.

Nothing.

Waited another 3 days and emailed him again. No response. That was a week ago.

In the meantime he has posted here and put queue updated in bold letters at the bottom of his posts.

I've seen others who said they did biz with him... I don't know, maybe it's my Canadian address. Mind you, there are 50 guys ahead of me in queue, so even with some of the guys saying no thanks when they were contacted, I probably wouldn't have got one of the batch of 16 he just sent out, but still...let me know so that I can know where I stand and jump on another deal if it comes up, you know?

opteron's are made with a higher grade silicon (hence the higher overclocks) so it is essentially a higher class A64.
