just ordered a 146 last night... held up a bit because of CC (really, i'm all for security, but monarch takes it to the point of being annoying). Now it says it's being processed. I'm hoping it gets here early next week.

Ordered my Opty 165 on Sunday the 5th, got it by 10am on the 9th...
2 day shipping. Not too shabby, but not lightning quick either.
 
Sad that there doesn't seem to be much competition on the Opt 165 pricing. 'Nice when Monarch has their sales, but... that's the only bright point in o165 prices. Maybe I'll go for something else: the system pieces are arriving at my door and it will be a poor performer w/o a CPU.... 'Be a nice time for Monarch to produce a new coupon now! 😉

might have been my fault... i ordered one, and then out of curiosity tried it on a retail 146... said the coupon was no longer valid. i think it was a quantity limited coupon, not date-limited

I dont think it was ur fault. It probably was a quantity limited coupon for first X amount of cpus. These coupons had been issued off and on, so keep doing some google search may be you will be able to find another batch of coupons.

Apparently monarch reps had been posting these coupons at hardocp forum. Good luck.

I agree with you completely on that security thing... Ordered a 165 and 146 on the 27th of February and then ordered another 146 on about the 13th of March. First order went through without a problem, but the second was held up for a week because they couldn't verify the card. I used the same friggin one on both orders... same addresses and everything... seems like they pick and choose randomly which cards to test out... but the CPU should be here today at least..
 
I live 126 miles from Atlanta, got 3 day shipping,
1. One day for them to ship the order form to their warehouse,
2. One day for the warehouse to ship the pickup notice to FEdEX,
3. And one day for FedEx to ship the order to me. 🙂

I just ordered another 165 tonight. Will update here on the stepping when it arrives.

My 146 is also doing 2.80Ghz @ 1.45v 🙂 it does 2.90Ghz @ 1.55v but decided to step it back to 2.80 🙂

Nice overclock gsethi, which HSF are you using? My 146 should be here sometime this week and if it does anything over 2.6ghz I'll be quite satisfied for $148 😀. C'mon CACJE!
