oh really

Can you name me 10 people that feel that way and the cities they live in?

I'll wait.

29 percent of likely GOP voters surveyed in Mississippi believe that interracial marriage should be illegal.

You can see the chart here over the years. This is likely not because of change in attitudes, but generations passing on:

So you are saying you don't understand the concept of political cartoons :colbert:

A drawing doesn't automatically equate to a political cartoon. In this case it was a racist joke.

This statistic isn't causing racism, it is caused by racism.

Even though I respect your opinion, I have to disagree with you.

People have a choice to follow the law or break the law. There is no racism in being held accountable for your choices.

I rember they were the last state to get rid of its miscegenation laws in the year 2000 and almost 40% voted no. Not that long ago.

These political cartoons are deeply ingrained in our culture, and it has nothing to do with race... It's because our oppressors back before 1776 did everything possible to prevent free speech.

The watermelon picture is just as funny as bush being a stupid white monkey.

So maybe the crime statistics have to do with $$ and not skin color.

Big surprise there, you mean there isn't a colluded nationwide network of beloved patriot ass racist judges only laying down the law on burnt umber people?

Blacks are incarcerated more because they typically can't afford as good legal representation and has been proven to A serve harsher sentence's B unable to get plea bargains like no contest and C charged more often in the first place where police will drag them in instead turning a blind eye

Or, maybe, it's just a joke.

People need to lighten up, seriously.

There are plenty of white beloved patriot, white slave driver type pictures and jokes... Of course you're probably ok with those because you're fighting the raging oppression against your people.

You love to claim ignorance about these kinds of things but its all about context.

White guys can make jokes using the n-word, be funny and not be racist.

Get a clue.

But there is a lot of racism in blacks being convicted to longer prison sentences for the same crimes. Or being falsely convicted at a much higher rate. Or being prosecuted more for drug offenses, even though they don't do more drugs.

I could not care less if a white comedian makes a joke with the N word in it, just like I don't care if a black comedian makes a joke about inbred white people. They're jokes. Lighten up. The world doesn't revolve around you and your deep seeded race issues ingrained in you while you were a youngster.

Maybe you need to focus on working hard and being successful instead of spending every spare moment looking through your blinders trying to paint a racist label on literally everything around you.

Not when you look at repeat offenders, nature of the crime, and the influence the person has on their family.

Man working 50 hours a week, providing for his family of 4, first time offense = less jail time

Man working 0 hours a week, feeding off the welfare system, doing nothing for his family of 8, history of being in legal troubles = lots of jail time.

The court system is far more complicated than a simple black and white set up. I've been closely involved with it for a long time, family court and otherwise, and this underground network of racist anti black judges simply doesn't exist.

But.... It is easier to point fingers and blame rather than fix the problem when it's within your own group.

Hate groups use those number to spread their filth.

If we took everyone born before 1960 and killed them, racism would still be a serious issue.

It is not the older generation that is the problem, it is young people. Young people who are looking for someone to blame for their problems.

Sure, repeat offenders, nature of crime all true
Also true is blacks are disproportionately punished for the same crimes whites commit

So, basically you are saying that white people work 50 hours a week while black people are lazy and live off welfare ?

I wonder what Oprah was thinking, certainly no racism left in the country ...

Heh, you were the one who started this by saying that racism is caused by black people being criminals, and I'm the stupid one ?

Having a higher percentage of people in prison promotes racism, just like having a higher percentage of people on welfare,,,, and lots of other stats.

Give people a reason to look down at you and they are going to take it.

sorry...working

You generalized that there are whole segments of the population that believe this. I asked for a few names and their cities. If you don't personally know of any, just say so.
