Saw it with the wife yesterday at opening.

Solid drama with great performances by Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon, and Robert Downey Jr. and good to excellent performances by the entire supporting cast.

Does a good job showcasing the man and his complications and brilliance without turning into an atom bomb snuff film, which it easily could have done.

I didn't think the movie was better than sliced bread like some are saying. I left the theater with more of a respect for the workmanship of the film than any kind of emotional weightiness, it's 3 hours long but moves at such a clip that it feels half as long, which is a bit of an accomplishment in and of itself.

Good movie, solid Christopher Nolan film, squarely a drama about people, not an action or war movie or anything else.

I heard about a theater trend of a double feature Barbie the Oppenheimer
It’s called Barbiheiner.
I am not kidding it was in my local news last night

We've got tickets for 70MM IMAX on Monday at 3pm. I'm assuming it will be well worth the $25/ticket cost for 3hrs of entertainment!

I've read no reviews and watched no trailers!

-Yep. No real spoilers, it's basically history for the most part with standard levels of dramatization. Very clever filmmaking, no wasted space, the kind of movie that reveals more of itself the more you think of it. Nolan at the top of his game.

Definitely going to see it .. this is one of my favorite subjects. The Making of the Atomic Bomb is one of the best books I’ve read.

Hopefully you understand quantum computing better than the average person here. Is it possible to run a neural network on quantum computers? Could AI paired with quantum computing be THE END?
Lol! No. It was just an undergraduate class a million years ago. Excellent Prof though, best physics class in my 4 years - very difficult exams.

I saw a news story that said an estimated 200,000 did them as a double header.
They probably were so dismayed that they thought, "Oh heck! How much worse can Barbie be compared to what we just saw?"

I saw half a row below me leave about one hour into the movie. Seemed to be a group of friends.

When walking home, this different group of young guys was walking ahead of me. I overheard one of them saying, "There was only ONE sexy scene in the movie."

Poor chaps!

I wonder how their brains made the connection between atomic bomb and sex.

Probably because some fundies are freaking out about the sex scene. It's rated R people, get a life.
