I am. They get 'confused' and 'uncertain' when the going gets tough. Oh and Valentines Day? Their way to get around this is either dumping you before it happens, 'forgetting', or trying to brainwash you that it's not important at all. Yet 90 % of corporate america (ok so i'm exaggerating) is prolly men, who are the very ad exs promoting Feb 14.
When you say we get confused and uncertain, are you referring to when we are asked to "make a commitment (sp?)? If so, then what you interpret as uncertain behavior is in reality our way of sidestepping the question, or throwing up a smoke screen until we can beat a hasty retreat.
Valentines Day is another matter entirely. That is a day of great pressure for many guys, as alot of us are in relationships with women who place alot of importance on what really is a corporate-driven holiday, just as you mentioned. And the truth is that many guys don't put as much importance on holidays as women do.
Personally, I never celebrate V-Day. Instead, my wife and I celebrate the anniversary of our 1st date, which was 2 days prior to V-day, just before I was sent on a 4-month rotation to Panama.
