Opinions on the new UK Kings coronation?

My wife is into it and will record the ceremony. Me? Eh, Don't care. Think the whole monarchy thing is stupid in this day and age.

As a side note I have been hanging around CasualUK on Reddit and seeing what is going on over there with the coronation. There has been NO media coverage so far over here. A side effect of CasualUK and watching British Bake Off is that I have started eating digestives. Just got some HobNobs also and starting to enjoy those.
 
LoL CBC will cover the coronation live from Sat 4am here. Let me set the alarm to wake up to watch it.

The rest of the Royal's can carry on, they seem like decent enough people. I'm rather happy for King Charles to have a wife in Camilla he truly loves but damn is his reign gonna be short.

Really? You are taking the Royal Family's side in that particular feud? Think about what happened to Diana.

On the other hand, I don't know what she was thinking, marrying into that family.

Being an expat myself I'll watch parts. I don't like Charles. I liked his mother more. Here's to a King William sooner rather than later.

There's no accounting for taste.....and Diana was more regal and royal than most of the rest of the royal family besides the actual Queen Elizabeth who was an amazing women.

I mean I'm conflicted. On the one hand it's an archaic tradition that cements the inequality in society and has undertones of genetic superiority and crazy theories that harm society, on the other hand it's an extra bank holiday so I get paid extra for ignoring it.

I love the tradition England has with nearly everything.
I cannot stand the slow pace.
I will not be watching or listening.
I do know my Wife will be watching and every gay man I know will be watching.
 
Things would be more interesting if he did a GoT style entrance on a dragon. Maybe just don't burn down the entire city though.
 
Apparently the police were arresting protesters and seizing stuff like a truck full of protest signs saying" not my king"

Bunch of authoritarians for a stale outdated corrupt monarchy. Fabulous

I have no idea if Harry and his wife are the real dicks but all I know is from the outside, the smartest thing to do was get away from those people and that fake life
