Those bollards are special :^D I wonder what the idea was there.
Those taxes don't cover the costs now, so that is kind of meaningless. But sure, let's fix it and have people pay gas taxes and vehicle registrations proportional to the road damage. Scooters and bikes will pay a few bucks, and egowagons will pay hundreds to thousands more since road damage is proportional to vehicle weight to the 4th power. Those vehicles don’t pay the road taxes via gas axes or licensing taxes to support the costs of the roadways.
There's a least one book someone got out of the topic
Crapper Cycle Lanes Review - Magazine - Ride Velo
Crapper Cycle Lanes makes excellent toilet reading, and not just because of its title. It’s one of those little books that you can flick through absent-mindedly and chuckle over with few if any intellectual demands and little actual reading. It’s mostly pictures of, well, crap cycle lanes. Eye Bookwww.ridevelo.cc
Seems fine to me. A lot of motorcycles have stereos. People blast stereos with their windows rolled down, convertibles etc. You’re in a public space. The more directional the sound/speaker is the better though. Somehow I bet your solution will be a lot less annoying then the Harley Riders around here that blast their radios loud enough so they can hear it over their straight piped exhaust
