well so far ive concluded im not a depressed nolifer like phil, and that i indeed should get 2.1 speakers instead, thanks for the feedbacks.

its decent, i will have close to the same setup as soon as i order my 2405. I have a 3800x2 @ 2.5ghz. Same speakers (tho mine are actually in a surround settup, never could figure out the vertical all frontal placement).

I surf the net and my wife does sweeps, do I need a Super Computer to do that or will my lowly 1.6 P4 be good enough?:laugh:

I remember back in the early days of Anandtech I used to upgrade my computer every 3 months with the biggest and the fastest. These days I don't even open my case to clean out the dust (I leave that to my wife)

Unless one needs it to make money I can't see spending all that money on Computers/Upgrades. I think my next purchase will be a Laptop just so I can do away with the case and monitor that takes up space.

I was in the business. One year I did over $150,000 worth of business (not profit) selling computers, parts and the such on the Internet. That was before Dell and the others started selling computers dirt cheap.

BTW back then I jknew everything you'd want to know about Hardware, these days I don't know squat. If you don't keep up with the new stuff it will leave you in the dust.

I'm a bit younger than you 😉 but I used to do a fair bit of private business, making up machines to suit home users. These days, it's the big retail stores or Dell; no room for the "little" guy anymore.
