If you want surround without having surround, you should use stereo with virtual surround not that 4 speaker gizmo.

My speakers are still better than yours...:)...and my case rocks...I didn't know when I bought it but the front of my case looks like a BMW (One day I took it to work and everybody kept telling me that)

if u dont like my taste in new desk then thats ur problm kido ;)

Sorry, I don't speak moron. Could you form your artless verbal utterings into something resembling English, please?

I'm not criticising your taste in a desk, junior, I'm saying that it's small. Also, I can't see your desk; there appears to be something attached to it.

Ever think of implementing a fully programmable algorithm based on polychannel interaural crosstalk cancellation with conjugate compensoratory bias in the Gundry region? Definitely makes your neck sore from all those quick turn arounds looking for those tie fighters!

Hardcore or not, there's no point in 5.1 speakers if they aren't set up correctly. In fact, it even distorts the sound if you don't set it up correctly cause of the delay built into the speaker to emulate the surround sound. Set it up correctly. it is worth the effort.

i really dont get if you could afford a 24" screen, you cant spend like $50 for speaker stands

Just look at the pics, and imagine him saying "look at me! look at me!". It isn't too hard to imagine after that.

Don't know what a gundry region is, however that's an interesting idea nonetheless. While this 'polychannel' interaural crosstalk cancellation would be capable of simulation of spacial proximity in the nearfield, this would not allow you to achieve full spectrum correlation necessary for the head related transfer function to successfully emulate posterior azimuth in the anterior sound field. Furthermore, compensation for interaural crosstalk would require the initial transducer to phase-subtract the channel it is compensating for without achieving contravening cancellation on-axis.

Agreed. It really bugs me when I see surround sound speakers placed like that.
