Back in October/November, you would be crucified for disliking Obama in this college town. Now the hype has worn off. My roommate just told his sister via phone that "our dumb president is giving a speech." And the people next door were just going, "Damnit, president Obama!"

I just find it funny how quickly the hype dies.

Dumb roommate. Does he think things can be fixed by Obama snapping his fingers? I mean, it's only been 3 weeks as of tomorrow since he took office.
 
what does he expect when he dislodges Chuck to make a speech about the stimulus package he's been pimping for the past two weeks? it's not like he unveiled any new information tonight.
 
WTF, how can Jack Bauer solve the problems that the US faces when this so-called president guy is yapping?
 
You can only be bitter if you were hoodwinked. Some of us were smart enough to know this guy was/is full of it. He is your typical pork loving tax and spend Democrat who promises losers a free "American Dream", on the backs of those who take care of themselves and have to pay for it all, in order to get elected. Maybe there is some hope for the younger generations if they actually figure this out.

I tend to vote Republican and did vote for McCain. However at first I did like many of the moves Obama was making. I was okay with things; I felt good and thought he would be a good President.

Then this stimulus package came along. He pandered to people's fears, and literally said to Congress "Pass this or else" which is nothing more than business as usual.

Change my ass.

i didnt vote for obama

i dont think there's been enough time for people to become truly disillusioned.

but i think the vast majority of americans are morons with a 2 week (max) memory for anything in politics.
