Well, students are going to be the ones on the hook for paying off his prokulus program.

This is why I sit and watch all this with amusement. We don't have kids so I don't have to worry about the screwing they, their kids, and their grand kids are going to take from this binge of spending. Even funnier, the defense of it all seems to boil down to "well the Republicans spent like drunken sailors so we are going to correct that by spending triple what they spent". And thank God that Washington Post reporter was there to ask that highly thoughtful and penetrating question about Rodriguez's steroid usage.

He is your typical pork loving tax and spend Democrat who promises losers a free "American Dream", on the backs of those who take care of themselves and have to pay for it all, in order to get elected. Maybe there is some hope for the younger generations if they actually figure this out.

Except for the word "Democrat" you just described every president we've had since I was first born...

I like how people at my workplace are like "Things are looking up! Obama is president!" When they:

- Have a job
- Pay taxes
- Hardly use any government programs

So what exactly do they think he is going to do for them? So many people are going to be disappointed.

I think Obama will help those in need with stimulus packages, at least the government is moving in the right direction. Although they are ALREADY broke to begin with, not that it matters. Government debt is the new printing of money. Why print it, when you can just have a number fabricated in a computer run by banks that the government controls with legislation?

It is the present president that cause the economic needs for a bail out.

lol... sometimes you make me puke in my mouth.

I voted for him. Mostly because I think McCain is crazy. I wasn't really expecting to find change on the sidewalk like many of my peers were, though. If there's one thing that being a gamer has taught me, it's not to buy into the hype. 🙂

confirming that collee students are dumber and more brainwashed than regular americans

Not all of us college students voted for this guy. I saw threw him every second. Look at his voting record. Now the guy is pres, and, wait, what's changed?

Still passing stimulus packages based on faulty Keynesian logic? Come one. Where's the change in that?

You sure know your grammar, for a college student.

WTF, how can Jack Bauer solve the problems that the US faces when this so-called president guy is yapping?

Yeah! And I thought the president was a white woman this year, anyway?

Today kids are like that. Give it a year, people will be blaming Obama for the economy. Of course most of major news networks and Hollywood will do what they can to boost Obama's image. I'm sure there is a movie about Our Dear Leader Obama in the work.

Documentaries have been out for some time. I saw one on a used DVD rack back in mid-December.

Call me crazy but it seems like the folks who were wellsprings of infinite patience during the last administration are now the one's most loudly complaining that "0b@MA BIN LADENZZZ" hasn't "fixed" the country yet.

Not sure if this will make you guys feel better, but Obama's agenda doesn't call for fixing the last 8 years of awesome stewardship until the 48th day in office which is next Tuesday so be patient!

Back in October/November, you would be crucified for disliking Obama in this college town. Now the hype has worn off. My roommate just told his sister via phone that "our dumb president is giving a speech." And the people next door were just going, "Damnit, president Obama!"

I just find it funny how quickly the hype dies.

What exactly did Obama say that was "dumb"?

You think it's bad now, wait till the economy continues to collapse for a few more years despite throwing money out of helicopters

You mean as compared to the pork loving borrow and spend Republicans we had for the past 8 years?

Like Obama or not, (and for the first time since I started voting in 1971, I did NOT vote for the Democratic candidate) you have to admit, he inherited a huge bucket of shit to deal with.
Economy in the toilet, as usual after a Republican president? Check

Huge unemployment numbers, as usual after a Republican president? Check

A massive drain on our nation's economy in the form of a war we shouldn't be in? (courtesy of a Republican) Check.

A HUGE national debt and deficit, as usual after a Republican president? Check

Oddly enough, even though the righties seem to be expecting him to have worked magic in the almost 3 whole weeks since he was inaugurated, I never saw him handed a magic wand to work with...that means he's got plenty of work ahead of him to TRY to get things back on track...It's gonna take time.
