It's our own fault for being so dependent on oil. Not enough R&D has gone into oil-alternative energy sources, so this only hurts us because we deserve it.

By your logic:
Company A supplies company B with raw materials and then company B manufactures widgets. Company A then raises the price of raw materials by 15% because they fell like it. Company B then passes this increase to the customer to stay afloat, it's company B's fault and they need to be blamed.

NOOOOOOOOoo....... By MY logic, Bush and his cronies have a lot of interest in petroleum and by keeping fuel prices inflated, they get fatter wallets. If you don't think that OPEC and the oil companies watch each others backs, you're naive. It helps both of them.
