More than just the "Red State" thing...scams always seem to go over big in Utah. MLM scams like Amway always do well there too.

Err...Amway originated in Michigan and is very popular there (among numerous other states).

Well again, I'm not sure why Amway would be considered a scam. They have real products which are popular with their customers in every state of the union. MLM is only a scam when the ratios or proportions of those who make money principally by signing-up downline sales reps v. those who are actually selling product make it unsustainable. The FTC investigated Amway at length in the 1970s, which found there to be nothing wrong, misleading, or fundamentally unsustainable about Amway's business model. And since the 1980s, Amway has implemented even more restrictions or policies that discourage or make it difficult for distributors to primarily make money from signing-up downline sales reps than it had in the 1970s.

While I dont necessarily disagree with you this is a fight you should not have on Anantech. ATOT is very unforgiving of anyone who defends Amway. You will be harrassed like a rat in the Dark Ages.

I've been in the middle of an AT shitstorm more than a few times. And I almost always have the superior position/argument (~95%).

Im not in Amway and never will be, but Amway is not a scam. you may not agree with their modle but it does work if you make it work and they have real products and have been in business for decades.
