While I dont necessarily disagree with you this is a fight you should not have on Anantech. ATOT is very unforgiving of anyone who defends Amway. You will be harrassed like a rat in the Dark Ages.
I've been in the middle of an AT shitstorm more than a few times. And I almost always have the superior position/argument (~95%).

Everyone always has the superior position when its their argument.

Err...I said nothing about Amway's home...I am aware of their history, merely pointing out how well they do in Utah...
Something about the Mormons and scams...😛
Well again, I'm not sure why Amway would be considered a scam. They have real products which are popular with their customers in every state of the union. MLM is only a scam when the ratios or proportions of those who make money principally by signing-up downline sales reps v. those who are actually selling product make it unsustainable. The FTC investigated Amway at length in the 1970s, which found there to be nothing wrong, misleading, or fundamentally unsustainable about Amway's business model. And since the 1980s, Amway has implemented even more restrictions or policies that discourage or make it difficult for distributors to primarily make money from signing-up downline sales reps than it had in the 1970s.

Ah...an Amway distributor...or corporate employee...😀

I actually like most Amway products, and for many people, their business model is a money maker.

IMO, the "scam" comes in when they tell everyone that they can retire at 35 with 6 figure (or more) incomes.
While SOME people can and do, the vast majority won't ever make more than a few $$ per week...and may never recoup the cost of joining, their "starter kit," (not all groups require the purchase of a starter kit...but many do) or the cost of the motivational tapes, seminars, and meetings.

So, how much is SCAMway paying you?
Everyone from Michigan is on the Amway payroll. Too bad for you, eh?

Only as much as is generated by the 6 people he signs up...and the 4 they sign up...and 2 that those 4 sign up...😛

They've got nothing on this Oregon woman:

http://www.katu.com/news/34292654.html

She kept sending them money even AFTER her family, state and federal law enforcement agents told her it was a scam.

I feel sorry for her husband. I bet he's wondering how he got stuck with such a stupid bitch.

QFT

I'd totally kill myself if that happened. By setting sail in a failboat too.
