Just bought a 100 pack of dvds from futureshop, in nero i get an error "The drive is not initializing! - perhaps due to a defective disk"

The first 8 worked, now if i pick any other from the pack i get this error..

I tried some DVD-RW's i had, they read fine, I also tried a different type of DVD-R media, and they read "empty" just fine....

the kodak's wont read at all, i cant burn because it doesnt recognize it as empty

What should I do?

Will they give me a different brand or should I get the same brand?

Ive heard that they are the cheapest generic disks around (after i bought them)

Thanks!

sorry! i was thinking "error" instead of "drive" the real word that should have been there was drive. i edited my post

Why did I get kodaks? One reason: Im broke, and they were the cheapest ones

That's $0.30 a disc.

My friend bought a 100 spindle a few months ago that were also Sony04 coded. Worked fine for him on his NEC 1100 or 1300, can't remember which drive he has.

Someone in the thread posted blankmedia.ca.. has any one ever used this site?

All the cd's are completely blank on this site right? (Meaning therse no writing on the top)

This happened to me with a 50 pack of Ritek G04 from Newegg. I RMA'ed it and they gave me the money back.

So even If i used about 8 disks I will be able to get a new pack?

Im really disappointed.. If I go over to get it changed I have to wait at least 30 mins in line, which is pretty lame :(
