A testament to their strong academic heritage.

No Alt-Tab in real life, eh?

If you decide to do it, make sure the MBA program is fully accredited and the credits could be considered for transfer to a real university.

Choose a local school. Then no one will know you got it online.

PS. ATOT is a horrible place to ask for educational advice.

I mea no offense to anyone who would or wants to get an online MBA but that's pretty much a load of nonsense and I would laugh at you as well.

The reality is, a good MBA is not the classes that it offers, but the interaction. It's the networking that will provide you with future opportunities. It's the way the world works.

If you're staying in your company and an MBA would provide a increase in salary, only then would I consider an online degree.

Most good MBA coures require 2-3yrs working experience first.

Management-level work experience, at that.

MiND

That's why I've got 18 months to make up my mind. 🙂

I'll probably go to UA for my MBA (Manderson SoB)

The only reason to get one is if you can get a job without it, but the job description requires a master's degree.

Total sham. Money machine for them.

Catching a bunch of information isn't what it's about. You can dio that in the library & online.

It's mostly about that almost mystical meta-exchange between you & professors, plus networking among students.

I can guarantee you an online MBA is useless... kind of like an online college degree.

So I understand everyone's opinions here about online degrees, but I'm curious if anyone has real world proof or first hand examples of why an online MBA wouldn't be beneficial?

At my company, one chose the route of an MBA online, one chose the route of a part time MBA at school. The one who chose the online route is now laughed at, albeit behind his back. The one who chose the MBA part time at school is more respected.

True. Universities are starting to offer more online and distance learning classes for advanced degrees.
