I had a really nice CRT monitor, but when I moved to college it broke- I bought a decent LCD - LG Flatron L1920... The first thing I noticed is.... The visual quality is nothing like a high quality CRT... Oh well... Just sad...

I was never impressed with LCDs, but I bought one for college. When I hooked both of my monitors (Viewsonic PF775 and Dell 1704) side by side I was amazed by how dim and fuzzy the CRT looked. I love my LCD now.

I'm with you on that. All day long I have to look at crappy dell lcd's with the washed out colors and grainy picture. I can't wait to get home to my 22" diamondtron.
Some things bug me about my crt. It's so huge I have hardly any desk space. It's hot. It's a fsckng b!tch to move!
The picture so rocks over a lcd it's worth it.

That's the primary reason I won't be going LCD anytime soon. I don't have the money to go LCD. I'd need two (I refuse to suffer the indiginity of a single display solution at home), that are at least 19" (I am not suffering the indignity of smaller displays) and have a native resolution of at least 1280 x XXX (1600 x XXX is even better). It's too hard for me to justify upgrading one display at a time as well, I find I get headaches when I use a dual-dpisplay solution with one each CRT and LCD. Prices need to come way down for me to switch. Having said that, I'm happy with my displays. Most people here wont have $1400 LCDs or $700 CRTs... and the ones that do probably already knew what you had to say.
