someone did it to me once on ebay, I think his name is mousie701 or something.
if any of you got bid by him, watch out.
I knew this cos I check his rating 2 weeks after the auction, and there is a feedback on a purchase (same thing that I offer, end at the same day).
I'm still fuming even though I've left him a negative feedback. (yeah, like it matter, what do you think happykitten ?)
I really despise people like those, I hope I can look them out and give them a piece of my mind. or just send them my lawyer.
I don't care if you got 400+ rating, if you broke the rules, then you are out of there.
same thing as life, you live a normal life, then you kill somebody, of course we're gonna fry you, just ask dubya :)

well put - be responsible... that's what's wrong w/ today's kids: no wanting to take responsibility for their own actions... and the "EGAY" reference was really mature...

If the shoe fits...

You cost people money. You violated trading guidelines. Once is an accident. Twice is bad form. Three times is a pattern.

You deserve it.

However, I doubt EBay will actively seek to keep you out.

Thanks to those of you who posted sensitive, thoughtful, considerate replies.

To the rest of you, bug off. You don't know the circumstances surrounding the situation... go and choke on your smugness. Geez.

1. All 3 transactions were less than $10. Not that it matters, but still. The seller wasn't losing thousands.

2. I'm a seller myself, and I know how much it sucks to have deadbeat bidders bidding and running. Lost time, lost money. BUT... if they write me to let me know what's up, I'm usually sympathetic.

3. All three times, I WROTE to the sellers, apologized, and explained myself. ALL THREE said "hey, that's cool, I understand, good luck bidding on our future auctions!" And then they turn around and smack me with a NPB. Whatever.

Oh god, she didn't pay for an auction, she should be condemned to eternal hellfire and brimstone. May the ebay gods strike her down! A deadbeat pussy doesn't deserve to live, let's compare her to McVeigh!

Ugh. Seriously. Get a life.

<< because I had won the same item twice and only needed (and only paid for) one. >>

If you won 2 items, it only makes sense to pay for both of them.
I, as a seller, get pissed off as well when ppl do that to me.
If I can track the person down, they get a NPB.

Well you know the rules, once you bid on something, it is considered a binding contract. Why are you complaining about having your account suspended? There are no circumstances that we need to know. You purposely bid on multiple auctions, and if the item was for less than $10, then why not just buy the thing and resell it? Surely your eBay account is worth $10? I think that the suspension was warranted, rules apply to everyone.

Viper GTS ~ hmmmm... I won't think about that too hard, or else I might snap out of my bound and determined Mad Kitty mood... ;):p

For all who care, there are always ways around "The Rules." I'm bidding -AND PAYING, LIKE I DID FOR 400+ OTHER TRANSACTIONS- again. It's all good. For those who have a problem with this, go play Knight in Shining Armor with some other dot com.

I'm thinking that you are the one who needs to get a life. Think about it: you knowingly broke the rules, were caught and punished, and then complain about it here. Then, with an even more pathetic display, you slam those who point out where you are wrong.

It doesn't matter what the values of the items were, you broke the rules. Grow up, and live with it.

Entering in a contract to bid, and failing to pay, is breaking the law. Regardless or not how little, they should just fine folks that do that. Fine them the price of the auction, imo.

You can be sued, in court for losses. Read the terms of agreement to ebay..

HK: As Ebay is a private business site, and you did break the rules, the only legitimate way to rejoin is probably to write and explain, apologize, and hope they reconsider.

Good Luck. :)

Last year I bid on a Disney tape for my kids, and was outbid. I then placed a bid on another auction, same tape. The fool in the first auction withdrew the bid, making me "the winner", "oh joy". I do think I could have whined, wiggled and explained my way out of paying for the one where the person withdrew, but it seemed more honorable to just follow through with the payment. I sold the extra tape, the cost was in the $20 range.

If this happened to me with a very expensive item, where it would be a hardship to pay for both then I might try to appeal to eBay to have the one auction obligation withdrawn, but for such small amounts I do not see the point.

Looks like you joined with a new email address quite some time ago, there's been no activity in your account since February.

:frown::disgust:

You bid on 3. You pay for 1. You reneged on the other 2.

1. All 3 transactions were less than $10. Not that it matters, but still. The seller wasn't losing thousands.

So how much does a seller have to lose before it matters?

2. I'm a seller myself, and I know how much it sucks to have deadbeat bidders bidding and running. Lost time, lost money. BUT... if they write me to let me know what's up, I'm usually sympathetic.

If you list 15 auctions and 10 winning bidders back out of the sale, you are ready to take the loss and say "oh well"?

3. All three times, I WROTE to the sellers, apologized, and explained myself. ALL THREE said "hey, that's cool, I understand, good luck bidding on our future auctions!" And then they turn around and smack me with a NPB. Whatever.

DAMN THEM FOR TRYING TO RECOVER THEIR LOST FEES!!

Oh god, she didn't pay for an auction, she should be condemned to eternal hellfire and brimstone. May the ebay gods strike her down! A deadbeat pussy doesn't deserve to live, let's compare her to McVeigh!

Or the next best thing....have no account with ebay!

Ugh. Seriously. Get a life.

It sounds like you are the one that needs to get a life.
