Does anyone have any info/specs regarding the performance/bandwidth available to a RAID controller chip from an onboard or PCI card arrangement to the North Bridge?

only time there is a real differance is if your pci card suports raid 3 or 5
if it does contact me and ill explaine further
if not no worries just use the built in raid

Cost mainly for your home brew garden variety, there are some "professional" RAID controllers but you would want to go SCSI if you went pro.
