Invalid domain name extension: 216.127.72.179

Am I doing something wrong?

M0oG0oGaiPan is correct.
I signed up for package #2 last night, then went to GoDaddy to switch my DNS.
I entered aries.f-c-t.com and gemini.f-c-t.com and everything was fine.

I received the confirmation from Manlius this morning that my account was setup.
I went to my site to see if anything showed up and Manlius has a placeholder page up for my site.
So, everything is working well as of now. :D

Now if we can keep this one up longer than Cyberwings, we'll be good to go!! :p

My experience.
I got the 500mb deal.
I got this and a domain as a gift for a friend.
www.jonahbaby.com

Didn't decide on domain yet at the time so i sent an email
asking to hold off on setting it up since i would need to change it.
Got reply about it, no probs. Told me to email them when i had the domain name.

Acct was set up in my name, email..so i sent another email for
support to change SiteAdmin, email etc, to my friend. It was done
within the afternoon.

So far, experience has been real nice...cool beans.

Their website no longer works. I signed up for #3 on Friday. My site works, but theirs no longer does. Here today, gone tomorrow? Can anybody else get to their site, or any of the links they sent in your confirmation e-mail?

As soon as my last post showed up, their site was working for me again.

As far as this deal goes....I think it is DEAD.

hey, i have a question...

can you sign up for web hosting (like this one) without owning a domain name yet?
i have plans to buy my domain name, but just haven't gotten around to it yet....but if another great deal
comes along before i purchase it, i want to be sure i can jump on it even if i don't own a domain yet.

oh yeah, and where is a good place to buy my domain from? all the same prices?

thanks in advance!

A domain name is required before you can purchase a plan. I know this because I asked the guy in charge this same question on aim before I got on special #1. A lot of people here recommend www.godaddy.com or www.namecheap.com. They are pretty much the same price $9 a year. I think namecheap provides email forwarding and godaddy does not, but you could always just use http://zoneedit.com/ for email forwarding.

This is for Credenza -
You have posted five times in the I wanna thread and , unfortunately, you haven't provided any method for members to contact you regarding your requests. The rules of I wanna (first post in the thread) say

thanks all,
i think i am going with www.namecheap.com
can't complain with $8.88 a year.
if you register your domain name through them, do YOU get to own the domain name, or do they (namecheap)?
my brother just asked me that, and as a domain buying newbie, i had no idea....anyone know?

now all i need is manlius to have another deal/sale, and i'll be set.
rumor has it that they are supposed to have another one soon. we'll see.

everyone on manlius doing okay?

(and allisolm, i messaged ya...thanks again for the tips!)

My site is doing fine. It is my first site and still under construction. I want to add a links page and a photo album. Is there any free code that I could use to get a photo album up and running quickly? Suggestions?

my site www.tailboom.com

I am a total webpage development newbie and Manlius.com has been great. I have been using AIM to talk to the support people and the forms.manlius.com is starting to get a lot of useful information posted. So far no complaints.
