wtf is that?

It's a cryptic delight I mentioned in the OP.
Black Diamond Steak.

You need to take some grilling lessons. Oil the the grill or the steak so you'll get those professional grill marks.
The grill needs to be seasoned and I didn't do it yet. I'll oil it and burn it off later.

I used my big round Weber charcoal grill with charcoal briquettes and Mesquite for a lot of years. Laziness got the best of me.
I have a $20 Wally grill that we use to cook hotdogs at the ballfield. I used to cook steaks on the porch when I was staying in a hotel while I was working out of town.
I don't care what kind of grill it is, just so it's cooked on a grill.

You're supposed to say, "That image host is rediculously slow. ;)" or your sarcasm may be missed.

Nice, I need to buy a new grill. I was grilling at my sister's reception a couple weeks ago and realized how much I miss having a grill.

After my propane grill died last year, I just through charcoal in it and use the remnents of the burner to start the coals so I don't have do bother with fluid.

No way am I going back to cooking on propane after tasting the difference. Not even close.

Coals(wood, charcoal)>gas

Nice looking grill you got there, though!

you cook the steaks, I'll bring the beer.

And I'll eat his steaks and drink your beer. A match made in heaven.

Amen. Real men cook with charcoal. And I can build a charcoal grill in the backyard that will outlast your weenie roaster. :p
