Isn't it obvious? They were "silenced". The new conspiracy theorists will be "silenced" too in another decade.

No, your post is why we're in Iraq...because people like you are too f'ing ignorant to separate the two.

Some people STILL don't seem to realize that Suddam Hussein and Iraq had nothing to do with the 9-11 attacks. It's sad how easily people fall for propoganda, isn't it? Hell, this guy probably still thinks that they have WMD's over there

That guy was a true hardass New Yorker... Even under adversity, he kept up his cocky attitude with the 911 operator until the very end :D

Why even post something like this? Everyone knows what happens, it doesn't teach you anything, it just makes people feel bad. Of course people are going to have a morbid curiousity and watch it, then they'll feel like absolute sh** after seeing it.

I know what happened that day, but I don't need to hear some poor man's agony in realtime.

Use some restraint please.

Video's (recordings) like this aren't put up to entertain our morbid curiosity. It's simply a way for those of us who are fortunate enough never to have experienced anything nearly as terrible as this to, for a moment, feel its chilling effect. I listen to recordings like this because it's a real life reminder to me to make sure I cherish what I have, and appreciate all the things I often take for granted. If only everyone could learn a little from these types of recordings.

If you call yourself an American you need to watch this and stop crying.

Then go buy a gun, lots of ammo, and a real American flag (i.e.: cloth) and make an oath to yourself that you will not tolerate anything like this again.

Cos I saw the video of al-Zarqawi beheading Nicholas Berg. I will never see anything like that again. I appreciate the warning.

These people cement my belief in a hell as eternal punishment for a life commited to ruthlessness, hate, and violence.

There is no hell. There is simply eliminating people who will never fit into a civilized world so the rest of us can aspire to peace.

Closest thing to "hell" is being surrounded, and picking through brass for unfired jammed rounds previously ejected because you are out of ammo.

I know that my belief is simply a belief. I have a different background from yours so I came to a different conclusion about life than you. You should learn to not be so dismissive of other people's beliefs.

First off, the video definetly isn't synched with the events on the phone. They looped the same bit of video over and over again through the first 4 minutes of the video before they switched it over to the tower collapsing. I do have to admit though, the transcript was pretty chilling.

I had a good friend who died in the attacks on that day. The events on that day definetly hit home. However, I am also smart enough to realize that it is time to move on. There are too many people today who live in fear of being attacked. There are those who show anger towards others of the same ethnicity due to the attacks. So much negativity. Its time that we move on and put those events behind us.

Anything less, and the terrorists have won.

It really irks me how unpatriotic many people are. I'm tired of hearing bulldust spewed such as "Bush and his administration killed thousands of people," and "We're only in Iraq for the oil." That's absolute CRAP. We're in Iraq to destroy a regime that threatened the security of the United States. Even if Saddam wasn't directly responsible for the attacks, he was still indirectly involved. The Iraqi government harbored many terrorists and supported their extremist movements.

Now we see the free world criticizing the fight for freedom. You can not look me in the eye and tell me Iraq was better of with Hussein in power. It is a known fact that he murdered hundreds of thousands of people. And it wasn't merely lining up people for a gunshot to the head. He tortured and mutilated thousands. He also used inhumane biological weapons to wipe out populations. The guy is a malevolent SOB that deserves to be treated like a rat.

I encourage those of you criticizing the GOP to stop fighting for a political agenda. Whether you hate Bush or not, look past that and band together as Americans fighting for the freedom that we so greatly enjoy.

"Beliefs" is what made the event in the OP occur. Maybe if you zealots kept it at just "faith" instead we could move into the 21st century some time.

This blather is indicative of the administration's success in selling this very notion to the American public.

Here's a news flash for you: when Saddam used chemical weapons on the Kurds, he did so using American chemicals, with the knowledge of the American government, during a period in which we were illegally funneling him millions of dollars.

Obviously Saddam was a despicable monster, and a malevolent dictator. That was fine with us for many years. The reality is that in 2003, he posed no threat to the United States.

"This blather" that I have made was not influenced by propaganda. If anything, propaganda would sway me toward liberal views. The mainstream media is almost exclusively liberal. Our schools, universities, and colleges, are all leftist in their ideology. Speaking from a conservative viewpoint is frowned upon and shunned in these places.

I would really like to see proof of your second assertment. Who was in office during this "scandal"?

I do agree with you that Saddam was "a despicable monster, and a malevolent dictator." However, to say that he was not a threat to the United States is utterly wrong. Like I said in my previous post, Saddam was an indirect threat to our country if in fact he was not involved directly in the attacks. The fact that he knowingly harbored terrorists is as bad as participating in their attrocities.

The reason we went to war was because of the attacks of 9/11. It wasn't for oil or power like the majority of you think. Why would we not retaliate after what happened on that tragic day? Do you want us to just sit back and say "Better luck next time"?!?! We were attacked and we rose up to defend ourselves. Freedom was at stake, and if we had done nothing, it would have sent a message to terrorists and liberty haters around the globe that we had given up and would more than likely have resulted in other terrorist attacks throughout the country. Is that what people really wanted; for us to give up? I'm glad Bush didn't let some group of terrorists scare us out of putting up a fight. Going to war was the only way to stop the same thing from happening twice.

You must be relatively young, no? The Iraqgate affair was during the tenures of Reagan and the elder Bush. I am always amused by the fact that people still raise Saddam's use of chemical weapons as a rationale for Operation Iraqi Freedom, notwithstanding the fact that it was done with our tacit consent.

Read more about Iraqgate here.

This is sheer stupidity. If the real reason for singling out Iraq was its harboring of terrorists, why pick one of the few countries in the Middle East with no known al Qaeda presence? Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Iran, and any of several other countries were more active in terms of sponsoring terrorism, yet we didn't pick any of them.

The real reason to pick Iraq is that it was pre-ordained by the Project for a New American Century, whose charter members included Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Feith. These are men who wanted to go to war with Iraq many years before 9/11 - 9/11 just gave them the excuse they were looking for.

Cry me a river. The lapdog "liberal media" gave the Bush administration a pass in the aftermath of 9/11, and we will all be paying the price for decades to come.

Yes sir, I am relatively young. Still in hah skrool so I'm far from as knowledgeable as you venerable ones on this forum. Thanks for the link.

Please don't take this debate as a personal attack but rather as a ideological disagreement :).

how close minded. Where are the christian terrorist attacks? where are the jewish terrorist attacks? Respect other people. How come no one bothers to defend me?

Of course if you believe in hurting others there will be problems but why hate on people who dedicate their lives to helping others in the way they can? I bet you've never met a sincere religious person...

Bigger wow... There are a bunch of conspiracy nuts on this board. If you people are anti-America, why are you still here?
