Thats not going to get him a pulitzer or any other photography award. It will however, assure him a private booth in Hell, right next to Ann Coulter.
but that is a different rant.

 
i posted a thread about darfur and, just like the way many other american's feel, no one cared. i bet maybe 3 people in all of atot actually took the time to write a breif letter to their congressperson and/or senator about helping out more in africa and helping african countries eliminate their debts to the world bank.

He could have taken the photo and then brought the child to the hunger camp. Where was the kid's parents anyways?

Its a starving child in Sudan, buring his face in his hands, kneeling on the ground. There is a vulture behind him, waiting for him to die, so that it can eat him. According to the photo, there is a UN camp a kilometer from where the photo was taken.

I am sure that once this picture was published, a lot of people asked him "Why didn't you help him?". Maybe that contributed to his death.

I agree, this picture makes me more mad than sad because this guy could have done something for this poor girl. There are millions like this girl, but he could have at least helped this one.

Once African countries start taking care of their civil wars, government corruption, slavery and religious oppression, then more will care. But African countries must take the first steps.
