Also consider the fact that you can't see shit underwater in lakes like the video depicts. Not to mention turbidity in the ocean would greatly limit the usefulness of being able to dive more than a few feet.

Blue water secchi turbidity is very low. Of course you would not be out in blue water unless launched from a "mother ship". Sounds like a tool for piracy. :Q Lack of white light becomes the biggest inhibitor at increasing depths.
