So my Lenovo T60 just arrived in the mail... and WOW it is worth the wait. The screen is beautiful (15" Flexview), it's fast, and it is super soild feeling.

I am so happy.

Just wanted to share 🙂

2.0 ghz core duo, ATI 1400x, 1gb ram, 100gb 5400rpm hd, no finger scanner, 15" flexview 1440 res = ~$1790

Nice dude! How much did that cost ya?

I'd love to have that instead of the R51 i got on lease. But the school is changing to dells I hear, and that makes me a <🙁>.

Nah, Sony TX series> *

Considering that I am a law student, and will be doing a lot of typing on this thing, I have to disagree that a lappy with a 11" screen is going to do the job......

But yea...

Are they made in China now that Lenovo owns them?

They were always made in China by Lenova.

Even before Lenovo bought the Thinkpad line?

Lenova, as a manufacturer has been manufacturing the Thinkpad line for a long time now, so yes, even before Lenova bought the Thinkpad name from IBM.

Lenovo, not Lenova

After getting a Dell Inspiron, I regret not listening to everyone that told me to buy a ThinkPad. Only 1 year and the damn thing feels like its gonna fall apart. LCD hinge = teh fail, hard drive = teh going to PIO mode for no reason, teh LCD = uneven backlighting, teh battery = teh sploding, was part of the recall.
