So my Lenovo T60 just arrived in the mail... and WOW it is worth the wait. The screen is beautiful (15" Flexview), it's fast, and it is super soild feeling.

I am so happy.

Just wanted to share 🙂

2.0 ghz core duo, ATI 1400x, 1gb ram, 100gb 5400rpm hd, no finger scanner, 15" flexview 1440 res = ~$1790

Nice! I will also be getting a T60 shortly after returning to school next week.

My T42 has been great, but it is time to trade it in.

Sorry, not for us investment bankers.

Uh uhh, investment bankers my ass. Compliance wouldn't let you touch confidential data from your own machine. It's against the policy in my firm (and all of wall street from what I've heard) to work on deals and/or any other confidential info from non-company machines.

Or in other words, if you were an investment banker, your employer would provide you with a think pad...

The way you worded the post implied that you bought yourself a thinkpad because you're in IBD. In any case, it's not even 11pm, get your ass back to work...

I'm not an investment banker either... I'm a law student... lol

congrats, nice machine. Almost got one a couple months ago, but got the MBP instead. Loving mine, but sometimes I wonder how it would have been had I chosen the T60p....oh well, my company is handing out T60's (not sure if they're p's or not). maybe a little brown-nosing will get me one 😉

Congrats. I should have gone with IBM when I bought a laptop for college. I got a crappy Dell instead and now it's dying on me.

When is IBM going to come out with a widescreen laptop?

EDIT: Oh wait, they do have one, but it's still too big. I wounder if they'll come out with one for the X series.
