I was going to work this morning and was driving 70mph on the fastlane and passed a police cruiser. The police office felt like pulling me over and gave me a fat $135 ticket. I couldn't believe it. :Q

I've been driving on this highway (route3) forever and the majority of the drivers go at least 70mph on all 3 lanes. So I didn't even consider him pulling me over. The police office was going at least 66-67 and pulled me over so he was also technically over the speed limit. The only reason IMO, he pulled me over was that it was an easy citation for him because people drive 80mph+ on the fast lane...

My question is, what are my chances of reducing the citation fee? 😕

Note: This is my first speeding ticket ever and I got my license in 2000 in Massachusetts.

Yeah, I travel Route 3 whenever I head back to school in Waltham from the Cape.

Where on RTE 3 was it? They are usualy pretty bad in the Plymouth/Kingston area, both local and staties.

It was about in the Billerica exit, around there. I've probably seen only 1-2 pullovers this whole summer...that makes 3. 🙁

Should I plead innocent or guilty? Or does it matter since its my first offense?

lets end this thread right now.

YOU WERE SPEEDING AND GOT BUSTED! PAY THE FVCKING TICKET OR GO TO TRAFFIC SCHOOL. OH, AND SLOW THE FVCK DOWN.

/thread

1) Go to traffic court on your assigned date and time
2) Be sure to have your insurance card, driver's license and registration
3) Wait until judge calls your name
4) Approach bench and answer judge's questions respectfully
5) Hope judge dismisses ticket
6) If judge doesn't dismiss, take traffic school and leave
7) Register for traffic school ASAP
8) Attend traffic school
9) Learn from your experience

Wow, passing a cop going 15 over is borderline retarded. He'd be stupid to NOT pull you over, you made it so easy for him.

Anyway, I don't know MA, but your goal should be to avoid an insurance increase, not to avoid the fine.
