can itunes downloaded mp3s be put on other mp3 players than ipod?

You don't buy mp3s... you buy aac files. I think a lot of mp3 players also play aac files.

I think a lot of modern apps are a complete waste. The old stuff did everything it needed to. The new stuff just takes a LOT more system resources, "looks" prettier, and includes a whole bunch of junk you'll never use and have to turn off.

That goes for Office, Nero, Adobe Reader (FoxIt FTW!), most MP3 programs, and pretty much anything that comes on a new PC.

I just bought an ipod for the first time a month ago (gen 5) and I actually like using itunes to upload and download music to it. You can adjust alot of stuff in the software. There is probably better stuff out there, but it does the job.

Before that I had a dell dj 1st gen.

Aww, how kind of you? Why thank you lucifer, I hope you post more things like this to come! Saving me time in that I don't have to post the same ******. Yes I believe iTunes is a POS excuse for a music management and playing software. Just because you have 1GB of ram available, doesn't mean it needs 256MB of ram to organize your music, or 192MB to play back your music.. In case you didn't realize, I like to listen to my music in the background while playing games. And because my ram is very expensive because it's high speed, I cannot purchased more ram unless I invest a hefty amount of money into my rig which I'm still not sure would be very wise nowadays.

If not you can always burn a cd and then rip it again.... I've only bought a couple songs from iTunes....fast download, easy searching. It's a good system....just not one I plan on using. I like physical cds and the ability to rip & archive multiple places to different formats.

So why not bash on your games for being such ressource hogs?

Aye. I like my apps to be simple and functional.

Not fluffy.
