:Q

This is normally when my dad is down in that area staying at his timeshare (down in Ormond but they get up to that market a couple times during the week), but my sister is visiting this week from Rhode Island so he's not down there.

Looks like no one killed (lucky?)

Yea, it did concern me about what kind of driver I was chasing, hostile, drunk, drug dealer, etc. I kept my distance till the cops showed up. When I had to block the guy in, I actually set my seat back so I wasnt so exposed in the windshield, just in case.....

Another good reason why people over 65 should be checked yearly to maintain their drivers license.

I applaud your efforts...I would have done the same thing.

good story but be careful when chasing a hit and run driver. although it may seem very heroic and people would applaud you, don't get over your head and try to get into a high speed chase. a friend of someone i knew did that and caused an accident. the bad guy got away and guess who got nailed for it?

does that really matter? IF you or i ran from the cops and said oh it was because i was scared do you think it would really help? pft.

anyway. when my wife was pregnant we got into a small accident. the doctor told us it takes a really severe blow to hurt the baby. I just pray that this wasnt enough to hurt it.

good job Techboy. If you are ever in Il i will buy you a beer!

So you gonna be on "Cops?" :D

I hope the pregnant girl will be OK. Couple of weeks ago here in Fort Myers, a woman went into labor and her BF rushed her to the hospital. He ran a red light on the way, got T-boned, and both mother and fetus died. I also feel real bad for the people in the other car--they must feel awful even though it's not their fault.

I don't think THAT'S necessary, but I personally would like to see something like a 5-year re-license mandate for anyone over 65...

We're testing for the ability to drive right? A given 50-year old is just as capable as a 20-year old. Once they get into their mid-60s... look out! :)

YIKES> Actually I'm surprised that doesn't happen more often. Running red lights is the absolute worst thing you can do while in a car. People who race up to reds in anticipation of lights about to turn green need to realize there's another side of the road to look out for... not just the light.

Great job in going after the guy. He might have gotten away if it hadn't been for you.
