BS!!!! Newegg and their policies are to blame here so now they can ante up.....
Hey look!!! We here at AT in the for/sale forums say it is the sellers responsibility to get it to the buyers hands...not the doorstep...not to the fed drop off point but in the buyers hands....Therefore it is the sellers resposibility to get delivery confirmation and insurance...not the buyer...It is not our fault newegg ships things for free. Lets hope they have insurance on the package.....
This is nothing new with Fed-ex and I am sure Newegg knows they could easily require signatures for delivery....they dont therefore it is their fault...
You obviously have issues w/ newegg. There's no way in hell a responsible fedex delivery person would place a package on the foot steps of the recipient's when it's in plainview of the street, nor should he even if the foot steps are shielded. He can easily slap a sticky notice at the door w/ the package's tracking # and when the package will be re-delivered. His job is to deliver the package safely and signed, but it's obvious the OP's fedex guy's a POS lazy and irresponsible bastard. Newegg, nor any company have control over this. All the orders I got from newegg required signature upon delivery by fedex, so I don't how what the hell you're talking about blaming newegg for dumping the package on your door steps. Newegg didn't do the delivery, the fedex guy did.
OP should get the tracking number of the package lost, call fedex up, find out who signed for the package (if there was one) and file a complain for lost package and compensation.
