Yawn...there was already a news report stating that it was CGI. What's all the fuss about now?

"pop=up" as we call that, doesnt exist in CGI.When you render a CGI animation, a pop-up cannot occur( because its not a polygon thing, like real graphics.)

So if pop -up happened, then it mean its done with POLYGONS.....so that mean its REAL TIME.

I watched a bit of G4 at E3 and they asked the PS3 rep point blank if the killzone 2 demo was prerendered or not. And they said absolutly was not....

--edit--
but they used the wording "everything was done to spec" so that leaves quite a bit of wiggle room.

Didn't the Sony people even say that it was CGI but its what the game is approximated to look like? You really think they'll bother rendering stuff through the scope of the gun when you're not using it?

Could just be a error? I really don't think thats real time, as much as I'd like to think it is.

STFU because u have no fvcking clue what you are talking about. What does "pop-up" even mean? Everything is polygons and rendered whether its cgi or realtime...one was just rendered a few weeks earlier and frames turned into a movie. Doesn't matter when the glitch happened.

As far as I can tell, it's totally believable that the killzone movie, whether CGI or not, is the level of graphics that games will have. I think Fight Night proved that, and it wasn't CGI.

when i mean error...I mean during the process of rendering the CGI sequence there may have been some discrepencies/errors and during the recording of the CGI sequence it carried over to what we see.

This is reflexion you see on the scope.I dont see why they should not render that. Its their decision. The reflexion on the scope doesnt disturb me one second. For god sake when u play metroid prime you see the woman face animation inside the screen...so why not do the reflexion on a simple scope?

Did anyone even like the original Killzone enough to warrant a sequel so soon? I mean, it just came out fairly recently... Of course, PS3 isnt coming out for another year, but you'd think they would wait to see the success of a game before starting work on a second round.

My mistake, I was thinking Snowblind ... still Killzone recieved lukewarm reviews: http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/918762.asp?q=killzone

Quote from an IGN interview.

"Jan-Bart: Yeah, it's basically a representation of the look and feel of the game we're trying to make. "

Hmmm what does that mean?

REAL?They want their game to be like that? Its a small portion of the game they work and they expect, wish the full game will look like that when complete.
NOT REAL?They hope they can make their game represent the CGI we saw?

Silence is golden guys.IF its not real think about it.How massively flamed sony will get because they make us beleive it was real and then its not.We all tough MGS2 wasent real...and it was.Remember that guys? The animation were real time game play.NOT CGI.MAYBE the representation of the action you see on screen MIGHT NOT be the gameplay, but the engine they are using MIGHT BE the final product.

Nobody know. They cannot say its real now because youll have 300 xbox spys going to try to jump on sony to steal their technology( if this is real )

Lets cross our finger :D

my oh my, from certainty to doubt, you sure are straddling the line. I don't think anyone thought MGS2 was CGI, atleast I thought it was obviously real time. There is no point in speculating, sure it may be fun but it does get old. I think I will wait till real gameplay footage is shown before I have any judgement. But yeah, "lets cross our finger"

popups can easily occour in cg, but its fixed before anything is released but since that guy is in the background I'm not surprised it went unnoticed

most likely there is an extra keyframe for this model which shouldnt be there
