OMFG! My car is literally frozen to the road

Just went out to go to the bank, saw that all the moisture that was on my tires froze, and so my tires are literally wheels of ice. Not only that, but the moisture it was sitting in froze, so the tires are about a half-inch deep in ice, and the ice on the tire and the ice on the road are frozen together. As you would expect, the car does not move, it just revs in place.

Cool...

also possible your brakes could be frozen too. Sometimes if the pads are wet they can actually get frozen to the rotor. This can be bypassed by a quick stomp in 4LO but you got a car... might be stuck for a while 😛

Soak 2x4 wood in gasoline and lay it around the car and light on fire..

Should melt the ice.. You can also cook hotdogs while your car get free from ice..

You have a weak car.

I agree. Are your wheels spinning in place on the ice, or is your car so weak it can't even break the wheels free from their icy prison?

we had a freak freeze a couple of years back here. it was raining really hard and then the freeze hit. it formed a cap of ice over my doors and they were frozen shut. i couldn't get into my car. it sucked.

I went out to snap some pics. The other thing that sucks is, there is so much frozen slush on the road, there are huge potholes, and everyone who hits them swerves. The mailman admitted to almost hitting my car, and then, while I was taking pictures, some punk kid from the rich Catholic high school came flying down the road in his Acura, hit a huge hole and messed up his front end.

I'm not sure if the tires are spinning or not, I'm the only one around, can't tell myself.

I also called the authorities to have them take a look at that road.

:camera:'s of Acura?

Well if your tires are spinning use some kitty litter. Never a bad idea to keep a bag of the cheap stuff in the trunk during the winter months.

Some kid wrecked his Acura right there in front of you, while you were holding your camera, and you had the audacity not to post pics of it!?

Lol, I didn't take any. I asked him if he was alright and he said "Yeah but my front end's fvcked." There was no noticeable damage on the outside. As he got back in and pulled away the car drove but made a terrible whining sound as he put it in gear and clicked loud when he turned.

Anyway, the police have already come! Talk about quick. I called them maybe ten minutes ago.

They're bored.

Haha, the wheels are worth more than the car.

And how can anyone not know if the wheels are spinning or not?
