So in my new house, we had a problem with a leaky jetted tub in the master bath. So the entire tub had to be pulled out meaning the granite skirt and waterproof drywall was torn out leaving a hole.
Well, the leak was fixed, the tub reset, and the guy replaced the waterproof drywall. He left for the day, saying he would come back the next to lay the granite tiles.
He leaves.
I can't find my cat!
At first, I thought he had been let out. I go outside and call his name. Nothing.
And then it hits me!. Buddy LOVES crawling into holes.
So I go upstairs and call out his name and I hear a tiny "meow." He's inside the wall!!!
I grab a hammer, and make a small, cat sized hole. Stop, and listen... nothing.
I make another hole on the other side of the tub... nothing.
I then get desperate thinking that he was somehow trapped behind the tub and I was going to have to tear apart the whole island.
So I tear out the entire side of drywall and see a hole in the floor. Suddenly, the cat's head pops up in that hole. He jumps out and jumps into my arms and wont let go of me!
Oh well, at least it was a happy ending. 🙂 I was lucky the granite wasn't set. THAT would have been expensive!
